Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 40A, Section 5 of the Massachusetts General Laws, that a public hearing will be held by the Lanesborough Planning Board on the following proposed amendments to the Lanesborough Zoning Bylaw, 165 of the Code of the Town of Lanesborough on Monday May 15, 2023 at 6PM in Newton Memorial Town Hall, 83 North Main Street, Lanesborough. ARTICLE A - UPDATED SOLAR BYLAW To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning Bylaw by modifying, Ch. 165 - 10 Use Regulation Table, and Ch 165-39. Solar Photovoltaic Installations and Energy Storage by updating and modernizing regulations that pertain to installations of solar photovoltaic electric generating panels. The proposal also includes new regulations governing the installations of energy storage systems such as batteries. ARTICLE B - PERMITTING ADDITIONAL BUSINESS SIGNAGE To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning Bylaw , Ch 165-29 Signs, by allowing additional banners for businesses and exempting open, closed, menu, and sandwich board signage from sign regulation. ARTICLE C - ACCESSORY DWELLING UNITS To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning Bylaw , Section 165-41(c)(2) by removing square footage restrictions on accessory dwelling units. ARTICLE D - REDUCED FRONTAGE REQUIREMENT, RA ZONE To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning Bylaw , Section 165-12 by reducing the required road frontage in the RA Zone for Single Dwelling Unit and for a Double Dwelling Unit from 200 feet to 100 feet.
