SUMMER POSITION - FOOTHILLS PATROL

Term - May to August 30, 2024

Foothills County encompasses a diverse rural landscape covering approximately 3,600 square kilometres located in the foothills of southern Alberta. Foothills County is inviting applications for an individual to work within Foothills Patrol Department for the summer season.

This position will be responsible for the coordination, scheduling and deployment of the radar speed trailers and the collection and analysis of data from these trailers to assist with the development of traffic safety initiatives within Foothills County under the general direction of the Operational Supervisor, Foothills Patrol and the Manager of Foothills Patrol.

This position will assist with the development of informational programming relating to cyclists and motor vehicle interface concerns. This position will include engagement/job shadow opportunities with Community Peace Officers conducting traffic and by law enforcement.

Other duties for this position will include assisting the Director of Emergency Management with researching, compiling and drafting resources, contact and dispatch response lists and provide assistance in the development of other emergency management projects as required.

A current driver’s abstract may be required at the interview stage.
