Design Engineering (Mechanical) Manager

James Ross Limited is an internationally recognized leader in the custom design and fabrication of paper machine equipment. Worldwide demand for our products has created four exceptional openings at our Brockville, Ontario location.

Design Engineering (Mechanical) Manager

In this challenging role you will lead a team of Mechanical and Electrical in the design/re-design and development of our family of paper machinery and related equipment. You will work closely with our Applications Engineers, Production Team and, of course, our customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Diploma/Degree is essential

• Experience with combined Mechanical/Electrical project an asset

• Minimum 2 – 5 years 3D Design Experienceina Management role

• Knowledge of Pulp & Paper equipment is a definite asset

• Strong Problem Solving/Trouble Shooting/Communications Skills

• Open to travel throughout North America and beyond to support projects

• Well organized with a meticulous eye-for-detail

MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

(Intermediate Level)

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will work with our Engineers and Production Team creating custom and manufacturing drawings. You will also bridge the gap between our customers and our Design Engineers. Innovation and improving our family of paper machinery and equipment is your motivation.

• Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma

• 3-5 years 3D Design Experience including 2D shop drawing is an asset

• Ability to solve problems, make connections others seem to miss and move projects forward to the next step.

• Knowledge or experience with the Pulp & Paper industry a definite asset.

• Willing to travel occasionally

• Fluent in English is essential

CNC MILL MACHINIST(S)

• CNC Certified or 2 – 5 years’ experience

• Machine custom and complex parts and equipment with high tolerances

• Ability to read job packets and understand complex blueprints

TECHNICAL SERVICES TECHNICIAN(S)

• Mechanical Technician Diploma/Millwright Certificate

• Field experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance.

• Willing to travel 2 – 3 days a week – Canada, USA & Abroad

• Fluent in English (French an asset).
