We invite you to attend our casual custodial job fair!

Near North District School Board is hiring casual custodians in all regions!

Drop-in, on-site interviews: Tuesday, June 13, 2023 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Widdifield Secondary School: 320 Ski Club Rd., North Bay, ON (please park and enter at the back of the school)

We request that applicants come prepared with aresume, cover letter and contact information for two (2) supervisory references. Successful applicants will be required to provide arecent (within six months) Criminal Reference with Vulnerable Sector Check before starting work.

North Region: Sturgeon Falls, North Bay and Mattawa: successful applicants can choose to work in a family of schools in either Sturgeon Falls and North Bay, or North Bay and Mattawa.

East Region: Sundridge, South River, Burks Falls, Powassan, Emsdale, Argyle

Qualifications:

• Secondary School Graduation Diploma

• Previous experience in building and grounds maintenance

Responsibilities:

• Perform duties and responsibilities on a day-to-day basis, as assigned, to ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment.

• Grounds maintenance, snow shovelling, cutting grass and use of a tractor, waste removal, dust control, glass and mirror cleaning, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, stripping and refinishing of floors, replenishing and maintaining an inventory of custodial supplies, sterilizing and sanitizing fixtures and surfaces.

• Other related duties as assigned by the facilities services supervisor, lead custodian, principal, and/or designate.

Hours of Work: Shifts vary between 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Hours are ot guaranteed.

Rate of Pay: $18.42 inclusive of 4% vacation pay and applicable statutory holiday pay
