Integrated Family Service Worker



Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BISW or BSW with at least three years experience in child and family
services;
- Knowledge of the FSIN Indian Child Welfare and Family Support Act and
Saskatchewan Child and Family Services Act;

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for providing family services to all children living on reserve.
This includes investigating reports of child abuse, neglect & abandonment.
Placing children in need of protection with alternate caregivers, provide
counselling & support services
- Maintain a caseload of off-reserve membership clientele and perform daily
case management activities as required.
- Responsible for advocating for off-reserve clientele
- Locating potential extended family members for children in care
- Providing on-going training or educational services to caregivers.
- Monitoring each child placement
- Responsible for providing a range of family support services ie: crisis
intervention services, counselling, arranging assessment & treatment
services, group counselling, etc.
- Responsible for development of prevention & educational services etc.

Must be knowledge with Redmane program.
