The Opportunity
Reporting to the Affiliate Marketing Lead, the Affiliate Content reporter will ideate and create content that ensures the growing success of Postmedia’s affiliate content program and drives revenue. You are a data-driven storyteller, and experienced in utilizing industry trends and internal data to generate ideas and content. You live and breathe the commerce space, and know how to create content that drives users to convert into customers.
What you’ll do:
- Report and write content that taps into Postmedia’s audience interests, and aligns to affiliate merchant opportunities.
- Create content around key seasonal events, while also focusing on building out an evergreen portfolio
- Use data to inform your ideas and optimize your content
- Stay current with trends in affiliate marketing and Canadian consumer habits, and identify new opportunities
- Update existing evergreen content based on new research
- Craft a weekly newsletter focused on the top online deals in the Canadian marketplace
- Editing freelancer content using CP Style guidelines
Who you are:
- Minimum 1 year experience writing content for affiliate or ecommerce programs
- Able to write engaging stories in a clear, compelling manner
- Experience in and enthusiasm for telling stories in a variety of formats, including short-form, reviews, listicles, and social media.
- Experience writing and optimizing content for SEO
- Able to work quickly and independently, meet multiple deadlines, and make efficient decisions.
